I believe real estate is a business of personal relationships.
When you hire me, you work with me. I stay personally involved, know the details of your transaction, and remain your primary point of contact from our first conversation through closing.
But personal service shouldn't mean limited resources.
Behind me is a dedicated team that includes my licensed assistant, transaction coordinator, marketing and social-media professionals, and the extensive resources of LIV Sotheby's International Realty and the Sotheby's International Realty global network. Their support allows me to spend my time where I can create the greatest value for my clients—understanding the property, developing strategy, communicating, solving problems and negotiating on your behalf.
My path to real estate is a little different from that of most brokers.
I came to Boulder to study Mechanical Engineering and Business at the University of Colorado. Before becoming a real estate broker, I spent eighteen years as president and general manager of ReNové Construction, a Boulder commercial and luxury custom-home construction company.
I've designed, engineered, built and renovated homes and have extensive experience with the County and the City of Boulder, including the rules and regulations around historic and landmarked properties. That background gives me a perspective on real estate that goes well beyond comparable sales and market statistics.
I understand how homes are built, how they can be improved, what makes them distinctive, and how buyers are likely to perceive them. For sellers, that experience can be especially valuable when deciding what to improve before going to market—and, just as importantly, what not to spend money on.
For buyers, it helps me look beyond finishes and presentation to better understand the property itself, identify potential concerns and recognize opportunities that might otherwise be overlooked.
I've spent decades living and working in Boulder, and my experience here extends well beyond real estate transactions. I've built and renovated homes here, worked with historic properties, navigated Boulder's unique construction and development environment, founded and managed several different businesses, and developed longstanding relationships with contractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, lenders, appraisers, title professionals and others throughout the community.
Boulder real estate is eclectic by its nature. Architecture, construction, location, history, regulations, views, land and future possibilities can make two seemingly similar properties very different. Every home and every transaction is different, and the differences are what makes it interesting to me.
Understanding those differences is one of the parts of my work I enjoy most.
I intentionally structure my business so my clients don't have to choose between personal attention and the resources of a larger organization.
You get me as your advisor and primary point of contact, with an experienced team working behind me.
My support includes:
For sellers, those resources help us present a property exceptionally well and expose it to buyers locally, nationally and internationally. For buyers, they provide access to relationships, information and opportunities extending well beyond my own network.
Throughout the process, however, I remain personally responsible for your representation.
Real estate transactions involve far more than finding a house or putting one on the market. Preparation, pricing, positioning, marketing, inspections, contracts, appraisals and negotiations can all affect the outcome. Understanding who the likely buyer will be, and strategically targeting that potential buyer is very important, and something I am very good at.
My experience in engineering, construction, design and real estate helps me anticipate issues, evaluate options and find practical solutions when challenges arise. Representing both buyers and sellers has also taught me to look at negotiations from both sides of the table—an advantage I bring to every transaction.
Over the years, I've been fortunate to receive recognition from my clients, colleagues and industry organizations, including RealTrends recognition among America's top real estate professionals, multiple 5280 Black Diamond awards, LIV Sotheby's recognition, and AIA awards for design and construction.
I appreciate those honors, but I measure success more personally: Did I give my client good advice? Did I protect their interests? Did I communicate clearly? Did I foresee and solve problems before they became bigger ones? And did I help them make decisions they feel good about afterward? That's the standard I bring to every client and every transaction.

Call me. Let's talk and put a plan together to help you make your real estate dreams come true. I'll be honored to be on your team, and help you navigate the process.
